NEW TO THE CANTON OR SCA?

Welcome to the Canton of Riverouge (pronounced Reev-rooj)! We are a sub-group of the Barony of Endless Hills in northeast Pennsylvania. We are a branch of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) in the Kingdom of Aethelmearc.

The Canton is a group of like-minded history buffs who get together periodically to re-create the atmosphere, skills, and activities of the Middle ages and Renaissance eras of history. Our members are blacksmiths, costumers, historical cooks, fiber fanatics, quill artists, silver and pewter casters, leather workers, carpenters, families, and friends.

If you live in Pike, Wayne, Susquehanna or Bradford Counties of Pennsylvania, US, then you live in the Canton of Riverouge. Your address might read: (your name), Riverouge, Barony of the Endless Hills, Kingdom of Aethelmearc.

The Barony of Endless Hills was formed at approximately the same time as the Kingdom of Aethelmearc, and many of the Barony's founding members live in Riverouge, including the 1st Baron. A Canton is like a neighborhood in a large city, and Endless Hills is certainly large, encompassing 9 counties of NE PA. The Canton came into existence to localize activities in a very large group; for folks who like to gather together socially, and travel not-quite-as-far to do it.

We meet once a month to plan and greet—check the activities page for the schedule. Contact the Seneschal if you would like to attend one of those business meetings or become involved. We'd love to have you!
